Our Future Plans


Allah blessed the Somali Cultural Center with the noble mission of teaching the Holly Qur’an and its sciences, and we have accepted this mission with deep commitment. However the center faces financial difficulties that hamper further improvements. The current available space is not enough to accommodate the ever growing number of applicants. We appreciate donations by supporting the following expenses.

• Acquisition of school site, construction of school facility, supply of furniture and school equipment.
• Purchase of school buses.
• Printing books and school literature.
• Adopting orphans.
• Offer Iftar meals during the holly month of Ramadan.
• Branching out to the rest of the state and the nation, Insha’Allah.
• Scholarships for Islamic students.

Goals of the Somali Cultural Center

• Teaching the Islamic message (Dawah) in word, substance and action.
• Teaching Islamic values and principles.
• Teaching the rules of Qur’an and Sunnah (life long principles of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)).
• Teaching Islamic history and the broad-based knowledge contribution it made that impacted the World Civilizations.
• Teaching moderate ways of Islam which forbids enmity, destruction, fear, anxiety and wastefulness, while emphasizing harmony, tolerance, coexistence and the pursuit of positive life.
• Teaching family values, since the family is the cornerstone of healthy society, and an essential component of mankind’s achievement.
• Encouraging the children to embrace the Holly Qur’an and to preserve its purity, discipline and guidance.
• Educate the immediate neighboring communities the benevolent true nature of Islam, while clearing the misunderstanding and ambiguities pinned to the Muslim faith followers through discussions, dialogues and understanding.
• Teaching charity as a way forward of assisting needy Muslim members of the community, especially the poor, the destitute, the disabled, the orphans, the widow mothers and the stranded Muslims in general.
